How it works
Anyone can turn a post into a coin by replying under it. The coin is launched for the post they replied under, not for the reply. Its ticker and name come from the reply (no name given: it is named after the ticker), its image is the post's first image, or a FEED card of the post text when it has none.
The person who wrote the post did not ask for any of this, so most of the fees wait for them. They can take them, turn them into a buyback and burn, or block coins on their posts.
The reply command
- Reply under the post you want a coin for. Posting
@UseFeedFunon its own, or not as a reply, does nothing. - The ticker needs the
$: 1 to 10 letters or numbers. Up to three words may sit between the mention and the ticker (@UseFeedFun launch this $GOOSEworks). - The rest of that line becomes the coin name (links, hashtags and mentions are dropped, 32 bytes at most). No name: the coin is named after the ticker ($HAT becomes Hat).
- One coin per post. A second reply under the same post gets a pointer to the coin that already exists.
The split
An escrow in the name of the post's author, keyed by their X user id (handles change, the id does not).
The wallet the replying X account linked on FEED.
Buys back and burns the platform token when one is set; otherwise it goes to the treasury.
The split is pump.fun's creator-fee sharing config, written in the launch transaction and read back from the chain on every coin page. Nobody can change it after launch.
Launching from the website
Launch also takes a pasted post link. You sign two transactions in your own wallet: the pump.fun create (with an optional dev buy up to 10 SOL) and the fee-share setup with a 0.01 SOL escrow setup and a 0.02 SOL launch fee. Bot launches cost the launcher nothing: FEED's keeper pays the rent from a capped daily budget. The same rules apply to both.
Launcher rules
A reply from an X account that has not linked a wallet gets a link back and waits 30 minutes; link within that time and it goes through. Posts that touch on tragedies, minors or hate go to a person on the desk before anything launches.
Claiming
On Claim, connect a wallet and sign in with X (or put a one-time code in your bio). Name the wallet to pay. Everything waiting on every coin made from your posts is paid out, and from then on each keeper run forwards new fees straight to that wallet. A sign-in counts for 7 days.
The bot replies once under your post when your unclaimed total passes $100, $1,000 and $10,000, and once more when you claim.
Burn mode
Not claimed within 90 days of launch, a coin's escrow switches to burn mode: whatever waits buys the coin back (on the curve, or the pool once it graduated) and every token bought is burned. It keeps doing that until the author claims. What burned stays burned.
Opt out and block
An author who signs in can opt out of one coin or all of them: those escrows go straight to burn mode, for good. Block also refuses every future coin on their posts, and the bot says so when someone tries.
The wire
Every reply the bot sends is logged on the wire, sent or not: launches, pointers to existing coins, link requests, refusals and why, holds, milestones and claims. Replies are rate limited to 30 an hour; milestone replies are the first to be dropped when the budget runs out.
On chain
Every transaction FEED builds carries a memo: feed:v1:launch:<coin>, feed:v1:claim:<coin>, feed:v1:forward:<coin>:<n>, feed:v1:buyback:<coin>:<n>, feed:v1:burn:<coin>:<n>. A coin goes live only after the create, the exact shareholders, the escrow setup and the memo are verified on chain.
Custody and review
Each escrow is a keeper-held key, encrypted at rest. The keeper only signs allowlisted, capped transactions. In review mode an operator approves claim payouts, buybacks and bot launches before they are sent; forwards to an approved wallet and burns run on their own. A kill switch stops everything.
Dollar figures
Amounts are SOL. The dollar figures are those SOL amounts at the current SOL price ($95.37 right now); hover any amount for the SOL. They describe fees collected, not a price, a value or a promise. Memecoins can go to zero. Nothing here is financial advice.
